Across the country and back

We just got back from a quick trip to Virginia so Aaron could help bless our cute new nephew Sammy. Surprisingly the kids were pretty good on all the airplanes and much to the happiness of the other passengers, Andrew did not scream once. (well, there was one time that he choked on a pretzel as we were landing, but I am only counting in flight screaming) Overall, we had lots of fun and were super happy that Uncle Eliot also got to come and that Adam came down from Philadelphia to hang out.

Allie was SOOO excited to hold the baby. This is about 5 seconds after we walked in the door. You can tell Sammy was stoked.
Andrew just liked to pat Sammy. Mostly he liked to pat his face, but we were able to get him to pat his head for awhile.

We went up to Yorktown and Williamsburg one day and got beat down by the heat. It was seriously 95 degrees with humidity. We lasted long enough to talk a few pictures and then headed to a Mexican restaurant and drained their Pepsi machine dry for an hour or so.

The kids preferred mode of travel.

Aunt Chris had this umbrella and of course Allie claimed it as her own. She insisted in taking it everywhere with us. The best part was that is was clear so it did not even keep the sun off her. If anything it made it hotter.

Allie and Adam the day of the blessing.

The whole big group!

I'm glad that you guys had a fun time, except for the heat! Thank goodness for air-conditioned hotel rooms! Wish that we could have been there, too!

Humidity?!?!?! We haven't even got humidity yet this year! It was probably 95 degrees and only 40% humidity and you start whining... Come back in the middle of July and then we'll talk. :รพ

Glad you're back on the blogosphere though. Missed you!
